How it works

Play the snippet as often as you like. It starts at 0.1 seconds.
Guess or skip
Search for the song and pick it from the list. Wrong or skipped: the snippet gets longer.
The answer
After a correct guess or the seventh attempt you see the song and can play the full preview.
Rules and settings
Stages
0.1 · 0.5 · 1 · 2 · 4 · 8 · 16 seconds. Every snippet starts at the same point.
Guessing
Only songs from the search. Other versions of the same song (remaster, album, single) count as correct.
Right artist
Yellow means right artist, different song. The attempt still counts.
Categories
Current, pop, rock, hip-hop, German, 80s, 90s, 2000s, electronic or mixed. Each has its own streak.
Keyboard
Space plays, Enter guesses and loads the next song, Tab in the empty search skips.
Points and streaks

FAQ
Where do the songs come from?
Well-known songs by artists from the chosen category, played as previews via Apple's music search (iTunes).
Why doesn't the snippet start at the beginning of the song?
Apple provides 30-second previews, usually from the middle or the chorus. The snippets come from those.
Do I need an account?
No. Your stats are only stored in your browser.
Can we play it together?
Song Snippet is for one player. For groups there's Guess the Song, Guess the Year and Song Timeline.
Does it cost anything?
No. Every game on Cozynyte is free and ad-free.
